Mad River Minutes
By: friendv3 (friendv3) 2008.04.30

From monitoring E.coli using state of the art equipment, to planting willow stakes, to leading macroinvertebrate monitoring field trips with middle school students, FMR is involved in interesting and engaging projects.  In order to better document and share these projects, we will be producing a series of short videos called "Mad River Minutes".

With guidance and equipment from Channel 44/MRTV we will begin this summer by documenting the work of our wonderful Mad River Watch volunteers.  We will follow our  volunteers as they collecting water samples  from the river and deliver them to the lab, then join Lab Coordinator Cyndee Button as she analyzes the samples for E.coli.  Finally, we will address common questions about E.coli in the Mad River including "how safe is it to swim in the Mad River?"

Do you have ideas for topics you are interested in learning about or that would be a perfect  media opportunity?  Please e-mail us your suggestions.

If this project interests you and you would like to put your creative or technical skills to work, we need your help!  Please send us an e-mail if you are interested.
