"The goal is to help the recreational community recognize their power to take collective action on issues related to climate change."
The Mad River Valley has rich, beautiful, and diverse recreation opportunities. The community’s identity – both culturally and economically – is deeply connected to outdoor recreation. Climate change and its impact on our landscape is a direct threat to our way of life. Some outdoor enthusiasts find this painfully hopeless, while others are much less aware. From carbon footprint, to decisions of where to recreate, creating space to appreciate the natural world and also openly discuss and explore how our community can navigate these uncertain times is desperately needed. Climb It For Climate events bring our community together to enjoy the activities we love while working together to take action on the climate crisis.
