Mad River Triathlon

America’s only four-sport triathlon, since 1979

The Mad River Triathlon is a collaboration between four conservation and recreation nonprofits: The Friends of the Mad River, Mad River Path, Mad River Riders, and Mad River Valley Backcountry Coalition.
The Triathlon is a fundraiser benefiting sustainable, accessible outdoor recreation and the health of our riparian corridor.
Founded in 1979 as the Sugarbush Triathlon, the event has existed in many forms and adaptations over the years - always rooted in collaboration, community, and celebration of our beautiful valley.
