A Happy & Healthy Valley: Building the Future We Want

A Happy & Healthy Valley: Building the Future We Want

Facilitated by Regenesis Group
Sponsored by Friends of the Mad River

The Mad River Valley community faces challenges and an uncertain future. We have an opportunity to try a new way to imagine and create our community’s sustainable future so that it is more sustainable, resilient, and just.

Friends of the Mad River recently sponsored a two-part workshop, entitled ‘A Happy & Healthy Valley,’ to encourage cooperation, enhance communications, and integrate  our community’s actions towards achieving long-term goals for the Mad River Valley. Working with Regenesis Group, more than 50 people participated online in both sessions. Thank you to everyone who dug in together!

Now, as a next step, Friends of the Mad River is sponsoring Regenesis to work with a smaller group in order to “build muscle” for public involvement and achievement of shared goals for the MRV. As Joel writes in his essay, Lead Like a Leaf, "Living systems, whether organisms or organizations, ecosystems or economic systems, resolve their problems not by 'fixing' them but by outgrowing them."

This group will explore the Mad River Valley and its potential as a way to learn and develop participant's individual and group capacity in Regenerative Development Practices.
