Volunteers Make it Happen

It takes people power to keep the landscape healthy and scenic for the community to enjoy, and for the benefit of future generations.

Thank you to our volunteers for all they do, to the landowners who give us access to important sites, to those near and far who decide to support Friends of the Mad River as donors, and to the community members who care and work to thoughtfully steward their land.

It doesn’t happen without effort, and it takes us all. Thank you!

Current volunteer opportunities:
  • Collect water quality samples and make careful observations as part of the Mad River Watch program
  • Support our native plant nursery in collecting native seeds from the wild and propagating native plants
  • Plant trees and shrubs and monitor and steward the health of the plants
  • Participate in the Ridge to River task force working groups focused on clean water and resilience for our community
  • Adopt a green stormwater infrastructure site and help with maintenance
  • Adopt a swimming or river access area
  • Support our events and workshops
  • General support - artwork, carpentry, irrigation, etc.

YES! I'd like to become a Friend of the Mad River by volunteering...
